So many
murders have happened of late. So many crimes committed...
Macduff's castle has been attacked, taken by surprise, from what I heard. Every single living thing was brutally murdered, even the
servants and the
animals. Strangely enough,
Macduff was not at home.
Macbeth arouses suspicion, as though he is the
culprit. I am unsure; he seems a changed man. He dared not kill
Duncan, an old man, only a few months back. Now he is no longer a coward, but he has become so vastly different. The
crown is his most important possession, almost an obsession for
power. I no longer understand him as I did before. We are drifting apart...
